This week on the Brute Strength Podcast, I’m speaking with the CrossFit HQ Director of Training & Certification herself, Nicole Carroll. This was a very unique experience to hear about the remarkable affects CrossFit can have on someone’s life. In this episode we’re going back into the early days of CrossFit as Nicole describes some of her very first classes with Coach Glassman and what it was like giving up her dream of art to eventually becoming a major part of the CrossFit staff. On this episode of the What Is Brute series, I’ll be speaking with my partner in crime, Matt Bruce. Matt is a 7x World Team Athlete for USA Olympic Weightlifting. In this episode we begin  by talk about how Brute Strength came about and what it was like working with our very first Brute athletes before getting into some of the more technical aspects of weightlifting such as developing rituals during training, sets, reps, and percentage work for different athletes, and finally the some of the most memorable moments of Brute Strength so far. Hunter is one of those guys who’s just living life to the fullest, always challenging himself, always pushing the bar higher, and constantly striving for greatness.
